Recommended: Better Fountain Extension
The simplest export method uses the Better Fountain VS Code extension:
Format Command Palette Action
PDF Fountain: Export to PDF

Steps:

Press Ctrl+Shift+P (or Cmd+Shift+P on macOS)

Type the export command
