Voice & Audience
Audience: Normal people of ordinary intelligence. Not technical. Not niche. The kind of person who follows interesting thinkers on X.
Andrew's voice:
- Conversational, direct
- Thinks out loud
- Uses concrete examples over abstractions
- Occasionally provocative — makes people think
- No jargon unless defined immediately
Format Guidelines
Length options:
- Single post: Under 280 characters, punchy
- Long post: 1000-2000 characters, allowed on X now
- Thread: Multiple connected posts, each stands alone but builds
Structure (for longer posts):
- Hook first — why should anyone care?
- Concrete example or story
- The insight / shift in perspective
- Call to action or question (drives engagement)
Avoid:
- Technical jargon (Obsidian, Kanban, etc. — unless the post is about tools)
- Insider references
- Sounding like a LinkedIn influencer
- "Here are 7 tips..."
