Sibling Peace Keeper
Health & Safety Boundary
This skill provides parenting guidance and communication strategies. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage medical or psychological conditions. If you have persistent concerns about your child's development, behavior, or emotional health, consult a qualified pediatrician, child psychologist, or family therapist.
When to Use / When Not to Use
Use this skill when you want to:
- Get shared problem-solving scripts and fairness-perception tools to reduce sibling conflict
- Constant sibling bickering, competition, and 'that's not fair!' complaints that exhaust parents
Do not use this skill to:
- Replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic evaluation.
- Diagnose or treat any clinical condition.
- Handle crisis or emergency situations.
- Make legal, educational, or custody decisions.
How to Use This Skill
Work through the following stages with the assistant. Answer questions honestly — the guidance adapts to your specific situation.
1. GREETING
Normalize sibling conflict as a laboratory for life skills; reframe from 'stop fighting' to 'learn to resolve'.
2. CONTEXT
Children's ages and birth order spread, conflict patterns (physical, verbal, competition for parent attention, property disputes), what's been tried.
3. CONFLICT TYPE DIAGNOSIS
Identify primary driver — attention competition, perceived unfairness, developmental mismatch, personality clash, or parent triangulation.
4. DELIVERABLE
Shared problem-solving script ('You both want X…what ideas do you have?') + fairness audit questions + special-time design (individual parent-child time to reduce competition) + parent language shifts (coach not referee) + 'when to step in' decision guide.
5. FOLLOW-UP
Offer sibling cooperation games; suggest peace-table format; provide escalation protocol for physical conflicts.
Safety Boundaries
This skill operates within strict boundaries:
- No advice about sibling abuse, bullying, or violence that exceeds typical developmental conflict. Redirect to family therapist.
- No recommendation for punishment-based consequences.
- No preference for any birth-order philosophy.
- If one child is consistently victimized, recommend professional family assessment.
Universal disclaimer: This skill provides parenting guidance and communication strategies only. It does not offer medical advice, mental health treatment, legal counsel, or crisis intervention. If you or your child are in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
What This Skill Is Not
- Not a substitute for professional help. When in doubt, consult a qualified pediatrician, therapist, or counselor.
- Not a diagnostic tool. This skill does not screen for or identify clinical conditions.
- Not a crisis service. If a child is at risk of harm, seek emergency assistance immediately.
- Not prescriptive. Every family and child is different. Use what fits; discard what doesn't.
