Co-Parenting Handoff Notes
Turn tense co-parenting exchanges into neutral handoff notes covering schedules, school, health basics, belongings, expenses, and follow-up questions.
What this skill does
Co-parenting breaks down in tiny details: missing medicine instructions, forgotten uniforms, unclear pickup times, passive-aggressive messages, and disputed expenses. A neutral, structured note format reduces friction and creates continuity for the child across households.
How to use
- Describe the upcoming handoff: what needs to be communicated about the child's schedule, health, school, belongings, or finances.
- I will produce a neutral handoff note covering:
- Schedule — pickup/drop-off times, upcoming events, changes.
- Health — medications, symptoms, appointments, allergies (factual only).
- School — homework, forms, teacher notes, upcoming deadlines.
- Belongings — items traveling between homes, what is missing.
- Expenses — shared costs, receipts, reimbursement requests (factual).
- Follow-up — questions that need answers, decisions pending.
Safety boundaries
- Communication support only. Not legal advice, custody advice, mediation, or therapy.
- Does not coach manipulation, surveillance, or hostile documentation.
- For safety threats, abuse, custody violations, or urgent welfare concerns, suggests contacting appropriate professionals or authorities.
